Downstream Innovation: Designing infrastructures and environments for real-world disease-focused learning
The LEAPS Project is advancing sustainable, patient-centered biomedical innovation through a new collaborative systems approach to the planning, production, and use of real-world evidence at the level of disease, not just a therapy. This two-part research brief series introduces the concept of “Downstream Innovation” as a critical enabler of such disease-ecosystem innovation. Part I outlines the concept of Downstream Innovation and describes strategic perspectives, and Part II applies the framework and principles to rheumatoid arthritis.
The next LEAPS Design Lab will be held November 17–18. By invitation only.
