Writer/Editor for Technology & Policy Innovation Initiative

The Center for Biomedical System Design (and its flagship consortium NEWDIGS) is a mission-driven organization focused on enhancing the targeted use of drug therapies in ways that improve patient outcomes and are economically sustainable for the system.

We are seeking a contractor who is comfortable writing/editing on complex issues in biopharmaceuticals and healthcare where technical, policy, and business dimensions intersect. This contractor will provide writing and editorial support to the NEWDIGS team in planning and implementing communication materials as assigned. Sample topics to be addressed in communication materials in 2023 include: clinical trial designs, Federated Machine Learning methods, or emerging payment models for drug therapies.

Working closely with small multi-stakeholder teams of senior-level thought leaders who will be generating the innovation concepts and outlines, this contractor’s role will be to capture and synthesize their perspectives into compelling research briefs, white papers, and peer-reviewed publications. The content will be refined through review, comment incorporation, and resolving conflicting feedback, editing, and synthesizing drafted sections from multiple authors into a cohesive piece, and delivering final draft of each piece to print-ready standard for internal layout/proofing.

In addition to the above, the contractor may be asked to review previously written materials (case studies, slide presentations, research briefs) to identify, integrate, and expand concepts into updated, more robust, documents.

The contractor will work with the Directors to develop a clear process and timeline for completion of each piece. Please send a CV and sample of your work to tuftsmcnewdigs@tuftsmedicine.org
