The Center for Biomedical System Design’s (CBSD) NEWDIGS at Tufts Medical Center and the Innovative Medicines Initiative’s Health Outcomes Observatory (H2O) are pleased to announce that we will be co-hosting a special event focused on next generation RWE infrastructure to support payment innovation in the US and Europe. This event will be held on June 13 from 10AM-12PM ET. NEWDIGS and H2O would like to extend a warm invitation to our NEWDIGS newsletter subscribers to join us for this special livestreamed event.
Accelerating the evolution of value-based payment models is important for ensuring the sustainability of healthcare systems. Value-based payment innovation requires the ability to track clinical outcomes in ways that are efficient, timely and fit-for-purpose for decision-making by key stakeholders. While exciting advancements are emerging in outcomes tracking, so far they do not meet the needs of payers for designing and implementing scalable value-based payment models for biomedical products
This collaborative forum will explore several innovative outcomes tracking initiatives in the US and Europe with a specific focus on how to harness their potential to propel sustainable, patient-centered payment innovation.
This 2-hour invitational livestreamed event will be open to NEWDIGS, H2O, and other participating consortium communities, along with additional invited experts and multi-stakeholder thought leaders in RWE, targeted treatments, and payment innovation.
Objectives
- Evaluate trends, gaps, and opportunities in the evolution of outcomes tracking innovations in the U.S. and Europe through the lens of several case studies.
- Explore how an RWE value-based infrastructure could enable payment innovation in the U.S. to ensure timely and appropriate access for patients to biomedical products.
- Elucidate priorities for collective action to accelerate the evolution of sustainable, patient-centered outcomes tracking to support value-based payment innovation.
