General Directions
The Center for Biomedical System Design (CBSD) is located on the Tufts Medical Center campus at 35 Kneeland Street, in downtown Boston on the corner of Kneeland Street and Harrison Avenue. CBSD is on the 11th floor within the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies (ICRHPS). There is a phone and directory outside the ICRHPS door to contact the person you are visiting.
By Subway
Take the Orange Line to the Tufts Medical Center Station. Exit the station onto Washington Street and turn left to walk along Washington Street towards Kneeland Street (the FAO Schwarz Bear statue should be on your left and the main entrance on your right). Take a right onto Kneeland and walk 1.5 blocks to #35. The door is found between the CVS Pharmacy Specialty Services and the Chase bank. Follow the general directions above.
From Logan Airport by Subway and Foot
From any terminal at Logan Airport, take the Silver Line SL1 bus to South Station. When exiting South Station, take a left onto Atlantic Avenue (South Station will be on your left). Walk three blocks to Kneeland Street (it should be the 3rd traffic light you pass), carefully cross the street and follow Kneeland six blocks to #35. The walking total distance is 0.5 miles.
Arriving via automobile

From Logan Airport
Leaving the airport, follow the signs to the Ted Williams Tunnel/Route I-90 (there is a toll). Enter the tunnel and stay in the right lane. At the end of the tunnel, bear right at the fork by staying in the right lane and immediately stay left as the lane expands, following the sign pointing to “Downtown” by taking a left onto Congress Street. After passing the Hood Milk Bottle and the Boston Tea Party ship, take an immediate left after the bridge onto Dorchester Ave, then an immediate right onto Summer Street. Stay in the left lane and take a left at the second light onto Surface Road. Stay on Surface Road and take a right at the third light onto Kneeland Street. #35 is three and a half blocks on your left. Follow the general directions above.
From Route I-90 (Mass Turnpike)
Follow I-90 East towards Boston and watch for signs for “EXITS 134 A-B-C to S. Station, 93 North and 93 South Curve Ahead.” From middle lane, bear left then keep right to continue on Exit 134A, following signs for South Station. Follow the ramp and stay left as you descend and stay as far to the left as you can. At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Kneeland Street. #35 is seven and a half blocks on the left. Follow the general directions above.
From Route I-93
From I-93, take exit 16, and follow the signs to South Station and S Station/Chinatown. At the end of the ramp, get in the left lane to take a left at the light onto Kneeland Street. #35 is seven and a half blocks on the left. Follow the general directions above.
