SUMMARY:ISPOR 2023: From Concept to Practice: How to Tactically Design a Feasible Outcomes-Based Contract in Oncology?
DESCRIPTION:The LEAPS Project is excited to announce that a workshop session proposal submitted by Mark Trusheim\, NEWDIGS Strategic Director\, and Jamie Foley\, Global Director of Value-Based Innovation\, at Takeda Pharmaceuticals\, has been accepted for the upcoming ISPOR 2023 conference in Boston on May 7-10\, 2023. \nThe workshop\, titled “From Concept to Practice: How to Tactically Design a Feasible Outcomes-Based Contract in Oncology?”\, will drill down on specific components intrinsic to the tactical design of a successful outcomes-based contract in oncology to address payer uncertainties and accelerate patient access to innovative medicines. The session will include an interactive mock launch scenario of an oncology medicine with details to support the exploration of key tactical considerations for building an outcomes-based contract (OBC). The workshop will conclude with an exploration of practical considerations from each of the four presenters\, including how industry and payers can work better together to design feasible OBCs. \nMark will serve as discussion leader for the workshop and will be joined by Jamie\, along with Ron Potts\, Quality Improvement Medical Director\, Kaiser Permanente National Transplant Services\, and Ann Nguyen\, Pharmacy Strategy & Product\, UnitedHealthcare as session discussants. The session will be held on Wednesday\, May 10th from 8-9 am.
